Guitare classique Kohno 50 à vendre
18 mai 2026 - Italia - Bologna - Bologna
1979 MASARU KOHNO Model 50 concert classical guitar, the top-of-the-line model at the time of construction. I have owned it since 1987 (previously owned by my conservatory teacher).
Masaru Kohno is a key figure in the history of Japanese luthiery, and the list of musicians who have recorded and performed with Masaru Kohno guitars is extensive, including Julian Bream, Oscar Ghiglia, and Sharon Isbin.
Despite its 46 years of age, the guitar is in excellent condition and produces a wonderful sound. A few minor superficial signs of wear, documented in the photos, are present on the soundboard (NO structural damage). A professional luthier added a small mother-of-pearl side marker at the 7th fret (see photos).
The sound is warm, open, and piano-like, with a beautiful vintage character and a rich, textured tonal quality.
