GIBSON Les Paul Electric Guitar - Standard / Deluxe Model

Here is a magnificent 1975 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe/Standard in Sunburst finish. Needless to say, a very rare and collectable guitar!! This is an original special ordered Les Paul Standard with full size humbuckers. It was bought from - and provenance provided by - the legendary Valley Arts Guitar Center of Studio City California.

This is not a routed Les Paul Deluxe, but a transitional piece right before the Les Paul Standard was reintroduced. So it was ordered with traditional humbuckers, while still having 'Les Paul Deluxe' on the back of the headstock! The guitar is clean, with a beautiful top. No breaks, cracks, repairs. Chromework is bright and shiny. The finish is translucent, with no clouding. The neck is butter, and plays like a dream. Pancake body, 3 piece neck. Nashville bridge, bone nut, plastic jack plate. Double ring tuner buttons. Some slight buckle rash on the back. .

This is a rare piece of Gibson history! Officially, Gibson didn’t reintroduce the full-size humbucker Les Paul Standard until 1976, but they did take a few special orders in the previous years. Besides being rare and unique in itself, because of the limited number of the special order Standard/Deluxes made, it can almost never be found outside of the USA.
