Rarely one can find Sergio Abreu´s guitars on the market nowadays. He is one of the most refined luthiers and his instruments are played by great artists such Brazil Guitar Duo, Fabio Zanon, Duo Siqueira Lima, Alice Artzt and Paulo Martelli.
The influence of Hermann Hauser I in Abreu´s work is very strong since Sergio spend his carrier playing in a Hauser 1930 (he still owns this instrument) and 1952.
The woods in this instrument are absolutely fantastic. The spruce top is very old (Sergio writes in the label OS - Old Spruce) and the Rosewood is gorgeous.
This guitar displays beautifully the main elements found in Hauser guitars: great clarity and separation between notes, deep and steady basses, and brilliant trebles. It has a fantastic range of colors and it is very comfortable to play.
The Scale length is 65 cm
